Rye Harbour Master

Thanks to the Harbour Master, Captain Carl Bagwell, Deputy Harbour Master, Kirk McGregor and their team, we are able to receive vessels into our quay. They also help turn the larger vessels on departure seeing them safley out to sea.

The Port of Rye dries completely and vessels should not approach the port more than two hours before high tide and more than three hours after high tide. When we have a vessel arriving at our quay the Harbour Master has to meet it a few miles off shore to board and assist with the navigation into port.
